Salary (published): ¥8,500,000–¥18,000,000 / year (base ¥567,000–¥1,200,000 / month incl. 35h fixed overtime). 3-month trial period. Languages: English proficiency preferred.

About the role

Senior ML-platform engineering in LINE Yahoo’s AI Domain: models and platform systems for batch processing, online learning, and federated learning, backing recommendations, LLMs, and multimodal AI across the company’s services.

Responsibilities

• Lead innovative ML technology development
• Design and develop ML models and platform systems for batch processing, online learning, and federated learning
• Support recommendation systems, LLMs, and multimodal AI across LINE Yahoo services

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing and developing ML systems at scale
• Expertise in Python and Rust
• Experience handling terabyte–petabyte-scale data
• 2+ years with distributed systems (Hadoop, Spark, MPI)

Nice to have

• Kubernetes, Apache Airflow, Redis, MySQL
• Recommendation systems
• Large-scale data processing
